Baccarat asks you to predict which dealt hand, Player or Banker, will finish closer to nine, or whether the two hands will tie. Card totals use only the final digit, so tens and face cards count as zero and a total above nine drops its tens digit. That rule keeps the hand comparison straightforward even when extra cards are drawn.
